This IL-100V3-2 is our smallest Inline engine, ideal for warbirds and other scale types weighing up to 20 kg (44 lbs). Extensive testing in many different models has made this engine extremely reliable. The IL-100V3-2 is optionally available with a brushless electric starter motor. This starter has an realistic sound when starting. Just as with the full-size Warbirds, the stuttering start with slowly increasing speed and suddenly she fires.

The IL-100V3-2 can be supplied with the crankshaft in the usual 180 degree setup, or with 270 degrees. With the latter, the ignition timing is like a V engine, but the balancing is rather not as good as with the 180 degree crankshaft, while the unaltered timing gives a rounded out exhaust tone.

For ease of mounting in various models, besides the standard version, there is one that has a lengthened front crankshaft/crankcase, the so called "Long Edition".

Each and every Kolm engine is tested in the factory and run for thirty minutes. Of this test a detailed proof certificate is supplied.
