MULTIPLEX was established in 1958, and since that time the company has been developing and producing radio control systems for model sport applications. Milestones along this path include legendary RC systems such as the MULTIPLEX 101 - our first fully proportional radio control system - and the ROYAL mc with micro-processor.

MULTIPLEX is once again setting standards with the latest M-LINK 2.4 GHz technology - especially in respect of the facility to transmit data from the model to the transmitter in real time, thereby providing important information to the pilot. The MSB open bus system also offers other manufacturers the means to exploit this method of information transfer.

In the field of models MULTIPLEX has always been a consistent leader with its innovative products. Aeroplanes such as the “Big Lift” and the “Alpina” set new standards for their time.

In terms of models MULTIPLEX has concentrated for more than ten years on ready-made aircraft made of ELAPOR®, a high-tech particle foam which is ideal for moulded foam model aeroplanes. ELAPOR® models share the following features:

• they are extremely robust,
• they are capable of withstanding enormous loads (airspeeds up to and beyond 200 km/hr are possible)
• they are stable in form over a wide range of temperatures
• they are accurately moulded, incorporating fine detail features (accurately-fitting internal parts), and
• when an accident occurs, they are simple and quick to repair using cyano.

Although all our current models are based on moulded ELAPOR® foam components, they also feature large numbers of injection-moulded plastic parts for areas of the model such as motor installation and fuselage / wing connections; these components are also intelligently designed and accurately made to form elegant solutions. The overall result is an assembly : flight time ratio which can only usually be obtained by purchasing a much more expensive model, combined with a flight performance which will delight even the more demanding pilot.

MULTIPLEX became a part of the South-Korean HiTEC group in 2002 & since 2006 Multiplex has been an integral part of Probuild Aircraft Ltd

HiTEC is also a producer of components for the RC model sport market. This collaboration and its associated synergy effects have enabled HiTEC / MULTIPLEX to develop into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of model sport goods.
